Dwarf Hamster Names
One of the most difficult decisions for a dwarf hamster owner is choosing a name. It can be hard to come up with that perfect name that not only sounds right, but feels right. Fortunately there are a few simple steps you can take to come up with a great dwarf hamster name.
Most names people choose are cute and cuddly names because, well, dwarf hamsters are cute and cuddly. There are a few different categories for dwarf hamster names. You could give your hamster a real names (ie. Joey), base it on your hamster’s appearance (ie. Snowflake for a white coated hamster), or base it on your hamster’s behavior (ie. Speedy for a really fast hamster).
If you want to get serious about coming up with a name, a good way is to brainstorm all the things your hamster reminds you of. Just take out a blank sheet of paper, write “Dwarf Hamster Names” at the top, and start writing words down. Don’t worry if it doesn’t make sense as a name just keep writing down words that you think of when you think of your dwarf hamster. This will work best with your hammy in sight. Try to think outside the box and be creative, don’t worry if some of the ideas sound ‘dumb’, the key is just to get your brain flowing and get a lot of ideas out. When you think you’ve run out of ideas, let your mind wander and keep writing. After you’ve written down a good number of ideas (at least 20), then choose your favorite.

If your dwarf hammy is a dark brown color, you might want to call her Brownie.
